Robin Reigi ICFF booth, New York, NY / 2007

Conceived as a large scale 'Cabinet of Curiosities' for modern design, this booth for materials rep. Robin Reigi occupied a large booth at the 2007 furniture fair in NYC. The challenge was to unite a variety of materials into one common language that would express the innovative and unique Robin Reigi brand. The modularity of the GES panels, the mandatory materials, and the space limitations were all constraints that were turned into design opportunities. By systematizing the BRUSH material according to the CNC carved TAC panels on the exterior, we enhanced and featured the tactile nature of the material in its own 'room.' Through the use of carved, translucent and modular brush panels, the brush area of the booth is a uniquely immersive space. The language established to express the Robin Reigi brand was made manifest at all scales and through all materials shown.
